DonorCar Privacy Policy

DonorCar is a service where buyers post requests for used car parts and Sharjah scrapyards send their prices. This page explains what data we receive, why, and how to delete it. Service owner: Milena Mkrtchyan (private individual). Questions about your data: support@donor-car.com.

What data we receive

• Email — to sign in with a code from an email. There are no passwords.
• Buyers: name, company, phone, country and city.
• Scrapyards: name, address, contact person, phone, logo, description, opening hours, vehicle types, brands and categories.
• Requests and answers: the part, the vehicle, the part number, prices, comments and photos.
• Chat messages, including photos.
• Reports and blocks: whom, the reason and the comment — to check rule violations.
• Technical data: the phone's push token, the app language, server logs (IP address and request time) — to run and protect the service.
• We do not collect location, phone contacts or payment details. Scrapyards pay their subscription outside the app.

Why

• To show a request to scrapyards that work with its brand and category, and a scrapyard's answer to the buyer.
• To open phone numbers after an answer is chosen: the buyer sees the chosen scrapyard's phone, the scrapyard sees the buyer's name, company and phone.
• To send in-app notifications, push notifications and emails with sign-in codes.
• To support users, protect the service from abuse and run scrapyard subscriptions.
• We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees the data

• Scrapyards that receive a request see the buyer's name, country and city. The company and phone are seen only by the scrapyard whose answer was chosen, and only in that request.
• Buyers see a scrapyard's profile, and its phone after choosing its answer.
• Providers the service runs on: server hosting; Expo and Apple — delivery of push notifications; Resend — sign-in emails and the support mailbox. They process data only for these tasks.

How long we keep it

• Account data, requests, answers and messages are kept while the account exists.
• Server logs and database backups are kept for up to 14 days.

Deleting your account

• In the app: Profile → «Delete account». The account is deleted at once and cannot be restored; the email becomes free.
• Without the app: write to support@donor-car.com from the email the account is registered with — we will delete it within 30 days. Details: https://api.donor-car.com/delete-account.
• Buyer: the name, company, phone, city, request photos, chats and notifications are deleted. Requests stay without personal data and disappear for scrapyards.
• Scrapyard: the contact person, phone, address, description, opening hours, logo and notifications are deleted, brands are switched off. Answers and chats stay with buyers marked «Scrapyard deleted». The scrapyard's name and payment records are kept by the DonorCar team for accounting.
• The data disappears from backups within 14 days.

Your rights

• You can find out what data we keep about you, correct it in your profile, delete your account, or ask a question: support@donor-car.com.

Age

• The service is intended for people over 18.

Changes

• If the policy changes, we will update this page and the date below.
